The Dean of Barcelona School of Management welcomed the class of 2018 at the MSc welcome ceremony this week.

After being introduced by Roser Tresserra, programme manager, Daniel Serra congratulated students for being accepted onto the in-demand masters, and outlined the expectations of the faculty. Javier Gomez-Biscarri, director of the MSc programmes, stressed the importance of hard word but also highlighted the beneficial relationships between classmates and faculty that spending a year at BSM would provide every student, adding that the international networks were a major benefit of the MSc experience.

Following the ceremony, students split into groups to take part in welcome sessions for each programme, led by academic directors. After lunch on the Ciutadella library lawn in glorious sunshine, the group headed off to take part in the Puma Challenge, an annual business pitching competition staged by the global retail giant.
